Winter Box 2020

The Registration "Winter Box 2020" is not currently available.

Boys Winter Box Lacrosse League

Since our inception, we have been the only consistent indoor lacrosse provider in the state of Oregon.  Through our partnership with Indoor Goals in Beaverton, OR, Lacrosse Northwest has provided 1,000s of players with the opportunity to play the even faster "game on two feet" in the small indoor arena.

In the Fall, Lacrosse Northwest programming evolved from the "indoor lacrosse" model  to teaching Box Lacrosse. Our leagues will be operated in accordance with the guidelines of the US Box Lacrosse Association.

Every week, for 7 weeks,  our certified coaches will lead 25 minutes of instruction to teach players the box game followed by a 45 minute scrimmage.

We are excited to help grow box lacrosse here in Portland and firmly believe it will help the overall growth and skill level of the players!

Starting in early January running to late mid February, here are our league offerings:

  • Friday Evenings:  Boys PeeWee (5/6) , Boys Bantam (7/8)(Indoor Goals) If the wait list becomes big enough for a particular league, we can expand the league to another hour.

  • Saturdays: Boys High School Open (Indoor Goals)  and Elite (Indoor Goals) - If there is a need to combine the two leagues, we may look into that.

General Details About Our Box Lacrosse Leagues

Lacrosse Northwest's 2020  Winter Box Lacrosse is a league running 7 weeks.  NOTE: to help maintain attendance, please only register if you will miss no more than 3 weeks.

Registrants will receive an e-mail confirmation after online payment.  Additionally, participants will receive an e-mail shortly before the league begins with details regarding the start of their league.

Early registration ends December, any leagues still accepting players after the early bird deadline will increase $10.  Please contact us if your name does not appear on a roster after the early bird registration.

The indoor game is a short field game played in a 5 v 5 format (not including the goalie). Teams will be limited to a maximum of 12 players per team.  Teams may exceed the maximum only by special exception.  Only field sticks are allowed (no defensive long poles) and please no cleats; turf shoes (preferable) or running shoes. If you wear cleats you will be asked to change to running shoes. You will not be able to play if you wear cleats.

In the event a league is full, we follow a first come, first paid, "first to play" rule.  If we receive payment for someone on the waiting list or if a player registers after the early registration deadline, they will remain on the waiting list until we have a spot available or until we have enough paid members on the waiting list to open another hour of play to create two more teams.

Please see the league info pages for more specific details and register early to secure your spot!
